Project OverviewProblemMany ADHD students aged 12-17 face challenges in traditional educational settings, struggling with attention and engagement. The need for an alternative problem-solving approach that caters to their specific needs led our team to develop Brainwaves which is a gamified learning application.GoalOur goal was to create an engaging and effective learning platform for ADHD students, focusing on puzzles and AI-enhanced word games. Brainwaves aims to provide a unique problem-solving experience, addressing the difficulties these students encounter in conventional educational environments.ChallengesThe challenges included designing a platform that captures and maintains the attention of ADHD students, ensuring the games are challenging yet adjustable to various difficulty levels. Additionally, it was crucial to create a supportive learning environment that encourages continuous engagement without overwhelming the users.SolutionsBrainwaves takes a distinctive approach to engage ADHD students by introducing its own unique mascot, Wimmy the whale. Wimmy plays a pivotal role in creating a positive and friendly atmosphere within the application. As an integral part of the gamified learning experience, Wimmy helps guide students through a diverse range of puzzle categories and difficulty levels, tailoring the learning path to accommodate each student's unique needs.

Features HighlightsDevelopmentDuring the development process I was assigned to craft and created the initial page and introduction for our mascot, Wimmy the Whale, along with its components.Iterations and FeedbackNew ideas were discussed and some ideas that came to attention were incorporating river flows to unlock new levels.
Final PrototypeTo address the challenge faced by users lacking knowledge of symptom relief for ADHD, our team has crafted a sophisticated Hi-Fi prototype for the application. This prototype not only embodies user-centric design principles but also integrates key findings from our comprehensive research.
